Why Was It Approved?
The FDA approved Jideytro based on results from a clinical study called ARROS-1. The main study group included 117 adults with advanced ROS1-positive NSCLC who had previously received a ROS1 inhibitor. In this study, all patients took Jideytro to test how well it worked.
Over the course of the study, 44% of patients had their cancer tumors shrink. Among the patients who responded to treatment, 82% kept their response for longer than six months. About 69% kept their response for longer than 12 months. The medicine also helped shrink cancer that had spread to the brain. Among patients with measurable brain tumors, 48% saw their brain tumors shrink.
