The Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus – A Comparative Review

noimfine December 6, 2022

Galaxy S22

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ features a 6.60-inch touchscreen display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 8GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 12 and comes with a 4,500mAh non-removable battery. It also supports wireless charging and proprietary fast charging. The phone also has a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 10-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and autofocus. The phone runs the company’s One UI 4 and comes with up to 256GB of storage.

Buying the Galaxy S22+

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is an impressive smartphone, but it lacks a few key features that made the S21+ such a standout. The S22+ is a more affordable version of the S21, and its smaller battery limits the amount of screen-on time you can get on a single charge. Fortunately, the S22+ has a decent battery life compared to its predecessor. We tested the battery life of the S22+ in a variety of scenarios, and we were able to confirm Samsung’s claims.

The Galaxy S22+ went on sale on 25 February in most markets and is available through the Samsung website as well as various retailers. Amazon and Best Buy both sell phones in the US and Europe. Availability in the UK was delayed, but it finally hit stores on 11 March. Buying the Galaxy S22+ is a good idea if you plan on using it for multimedia, though it may not be for everyone.

Reviewing the Galaxy S22+

If you’re in the market for a new smartphone, you’ve probably heard about the Galaxy S22. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ is the intermediate model of this series, and it has a lot to offer: a consolidated design, good material quality, state-of-the-art hardware, and a long-term update policy. The S22+ was launched with a starting price of $999, but you can still find a discount for as much as 25% off.

The Galaxy S22+ is an elegant device in a pink-gold review unit. Its rear is made of glass, with a matte finish, while the Samsung logo is glossy. It has an oblong camera panel that’s surrounded by three black circles. The device also has gleaming aluminum edging. The S22+ is available in phantom white, black, and green.

Comparing the Galaxy S22+ to the iPhone 12

In this comparison, we’ll be looking at the Samsung Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The design of each phone is similar to the iPhone 12, but there are some subtle differences. While the iPhone has the same basic design, the Galaxy S22+ is significantly thinner and features a 20% smaller notch. Despite the smaller notch, the iPhone still retains a crisp look, allowing you to easily read the lettering on the Tribune Tower.

Although the Galaxy S22+ boasts a slightly bigger battery, it’s much lighter than the iPhone 12. While the iPhone 13 is the lightest, the iPhone 13 mini weighs 6 grams less. The iPhone 13 weighs about the same as the iPhone 12 and is 6-7 grams heavier than the Galaxy S22+. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is about one-third heavier than the iPhone 12 despite being slightly larger. Apple doesn’t reveal battery sizes, but teardowns suggest that it comes with a 3,095-mAh battery.

Taking photos with the Galaxy S22+

Both the Galaxy S22+ have excellent cameras. The S22+ has a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, while the S22 has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Both smartphones offer fast phase detection autofocus. Both phones also have a very good f/1.8 aperture, making them excellent for low-light situations. However, a few minor differences make the Galaxy S22+ camera superior to its predecessor.

Samsung has built-in night-mode capabilities, which allow it to take good photos in dim lighting conditions. It can even turn a dark scene into dusk. The camera also allows users to capture “Expert RAW” files with the dedicated RAW app. This mode allows you to process raw photos more easily. If you plan on editing your photos later, you’ll have even more flexibility with the camera’s RAW file format.

Samsung’s cameras are a big part of the S22+’s experience. They offer superb image quality and the ability to crop photos, which makes them ideal for video production. However, the cameras are not the only reason to consider a Samsung smartphone for your photography needs. Taking photos with a Samsung phone can help you capture more meaningful moments and share them with family and friends. You can even share the photos you take with Google Duo with others via video chat.
